Aromatic aster

Aromatic aster is also known as fall aster, wild blue aster, or shale barren aster. It is adaptable and easy to grow for ground cover in dry, sunny locations. It is a native plant that is very attractive to pollinators. Aromatic aster grows from 1 to 3 feet tall. This plant grows well in well-drained moist to dry soils in full sun to partial shade. The flowers are composite with purple ray flowers along their edges and yellow disk flowers within the center.
