Bald cypress

Bald cypress grow naturally in swampy areas that are flooded several months out of the year. When grown in standing water, unique structures called knees emerge from the root system. This tree requires full sun and acidic soil to thrive. Bald cypress can reach 50 to 70 feet tall with a spread of 20 to 30 feet.
