Loblolly pine

The loblolly pine is one of the fastest growing southern pines. It grows in a wide variety of soils and is drought tolerant. The loblolly pine grows to a height of 60 to 90 feet and a spread of 25 to 35 feet. It prefers full sun and can be used as a shade tree when it reaches maturity.
